So I'm continuing to make progress. My fingers seem a little skinnier, because I have less trouble pulling my ring off. I wish I was making a little more progress in the tummy area. I assume that I'll have to make it eventually, because it would be silly for me to lose 30 pounds and not have a smaller tummy, right? I sure hope so, anyway. Otherwise, I might be asking my husband for the cash to have a tummy tuck. That's fair I think - maybe.
Anyway, I know I haven't been posting much lately, but I've been a little busy. I have been keeping up with my calories and exercising almost everyday. I find it hard to do my exercises when my husband is home on his weekends because he plays FF13, and I can't tune it to Exercise TV for my ab workout. I still take walks when he's home, though. So I'm thinking I'll just take the weekends off for my ab and leg exercises. That'll probably help with me getting burnt out on exercising too.
Also, I've been seriously considering getting some of those toning shoes. I've been reading up on them and supposedly they are very comfortable and supportive in addition to helping you tone muscles. My only reservation is how expensive they are, but I'm discovering that a few companies are coming out with less expensive options. We'll see about it.

Slipped up
Today I accidentally went WAY over my calorie allowance. I was making a cheesecake dessert for Easter, and without thinking about it, I licked the bowl clean. I had to read my forgiveness mantra because I found that I was getting down on myself. I still feel down, but I realize that I have to let go. Messing up one time isn't going to ruin this for me. I haven't done my exercises yet today, so perhaps once my blood gets pumping and the endorphins kick in, I'll feel better.
Here's my positive attribute, because I really need it today. I like that I have an hourglass figure. Even now that I'm overweight, I still have fairly even body proportions. My breasts are, and have always been, slightly smaller than my hips, but I'm still pretty close to that hourglass shape.
Yesterday I didn't do my ab or knee workouts. I spent the majority of the day outside since it was the first nice day we've had in a while. I did a lot of chasing my little one around, and I took two brisk walks, so when my knees hurt last night, I didn't feel too bad about skipping that part. Anyway, now it's time for me to do my exercises for today.

Today's Positive Attribute
The thing I like about myself that I've chosen to list today is my hair. I have very thick hair with natural body that makes people jealous.

More Water
I haven't exactly been doing the best job at drinking more water. It was my intent when I started my weight loss journey to drink more water every day. Instead, I drink lots of tea that's been sweetened with stevia. While it's calorie-free, it isn't helping me get my daily fluid intake, because it's caffeinated and therefore a diuretic. I know when I haven't been getting enough water, because my body retains water and causes my fingers to get all puffy. I could just drink more tea, but according to the research I've done, I'd be consuming WAY too much caffeine. So I suppose I need to grab the tiger by the tail and actually drink some water. It wouldn't be so bad if I didn't HATE drinking water so much. It's just so boring! Sigh.
At any rate, it's time to list my daily feature that I like about my body. Today, I choose my wrists. They're not thin or fragile, but they still have a delicate look to them. Very feminine and pretty, in my opinion.

Another Rainy Day
I think Mother Nature is telling me I need to find a new method of cardio. It is raining again today! I'm seriously contemplating donning my rain gear and taking a walk anyway. I'm still doing my leg strengthening and ab exercises, so at least I don't have to feel like a complete slacker. The rain is supposed to clear up on Thursday, and the warmer weather is supposed to be coming with it. That'll be good, since I've pretty much decided to cut the heat off from here on out. I'll have to put up with my husband bitching about how cold it is, but I don't care. If he wants the heat on, then he can just go down in the basement and turn the furnace on himself. But anyway... (You can probably tell that he's getting on my nerves a little. I'm just trying to remember to breathe and let it go.)
In other news, my second thing I'm going to list as a positive attribute about my body is my face shape. I have a square face, and I think it makes me somewhat unique, as a girl anyway. I caught a glimpse of myself in the mirror today, and I really think I have a nice jawline. I do think this list is going to do me some good, because I feel better already just being able to think to myself, "Wow, I do have some nice things about me."
